One thing to consider when entering either type of contest is the quality of the photo. This one crucial step should not be considered lightly. It is the sole determining factor that the judges will have to go by in voting for the cutest kid. You may have a whole library full of photo albums packed with kids pics from birth to the present day and you may also have a few in this collection that you consider to be great shots of your kids. Even though you may get admiring reactions for those pictures from all of your friends, the actual picture may not be up to standard to get you noticed in amongst the many other applicants who made the extra effort to submit a picture of the highest quality. Think of it, you have one chance to make them sit up and notice your kid amongst all those others who are trying to do the very same thing.

Now that you are aware that a simple snapshot is not going to do it, what are you going to do. Our suggestion is very simple. Quality not Quantity as the old saying goes is what we suggest. Concentrate on getting One (1) perfect shot. You will probably have to take at least 50-100 picture (maybe more) to get “The One” picture that is worthy of submission. But it will be well worth it in the long run.

One other tip you may want to consider is carrying your digital camera around with you at all times. Sometimes the most “Off the Cuff” spontaneous pictures get the best results and those pictures we cannot stage or plan….they just happen.
